Communication‐based predictive energy management strategy for a hybrid powertrain

Predictive information can significantly improve energy efficiency in a hybrid powertrain, especially for long drive. Ideally the prediction of sufficiently horizon bring maximum benefit, however during this traffic change, making it impossible to continue chosen optimal strategy. Due limited vision vehicles' sensors, is difficult acquire far away. Against background, article proposes predictive control strategy connected environment. It combines real-world vehicle-to-everything (V2X) and cloud communication allow swift reaction loss mitigation. More specifically, V2X used detect impending changes on route map these onto new constraints operation HEV. Instead using “static” directly, more realistic method considering dynamic developed. Besides, an update adopted timely cope with uncertainties. The performance approach shown by case study based real driving cycles Austria. results show that proposed structure able (mainly fuel efficiency) up .
